Welcome to our Web Site and indeed welcome to the start of a relatively new venture for us, 2005 was our very first season for inviting guests to stay at our lovely cottage. The cottage has proved very popular and all our guests have left wonderful comments in our Guest Book not only about the cottage but also about Ullapool and the surrounding area.
The cottage, under the classification of Self Catering, has been graded as four star "Excellent" by the Scottish Tourist Board. This is the highest grade that a self catering cottage of this size can achieve. Tigh na Reultan is also committed to the principles of the Walkers and Cyclists Welcome Scheme and has been approved to cater for the needs of Walkers and Cyclists.
This is a family run business and therefore every effort is made to ensure that your stay is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible and that you go away with fond memories of your time with us and will hopefully return again.
Ullapool is an ideal base for those wishing to tour the beautiful Northern Highlands and take advantage of the many outdoor activities available, alternatively you may wish to just take it easy and soak up the atmosphere, charm and history of this wonderful coastal village. Why not have a look at Ullapool's Events Diary to see what is happening during your planned visit.
The village has many amenities including restaurants (which cater for different tastes from traditional Highland dishes to Indian cuisine), Chinese Take Away, pubs - many with live music, craft shops, chemist, bakery, butcher and supermarket.
Ullapool is very proud of its Pipe and Drums Band and Highland Dancers.
They are truly an inspirational and wonderful sight to see! | | | | | The Pipes, Drums and Highland Dancers of the Ullapool and District Junior Pipe Band can be seen marching though the village during the Summer Season (weather permitting). They provide a weekly performance in the "Cal Mac" Car Park of some wonderful Scottish Music and a selection of traditional Highland Dances. |
Our Leisure Centre with Swimming Pool and Gym provides varied activities and during the holiday periods the centre runs family fun sessions with a bouncy castle. There are also four local outdoor play areas for children. Why not visit our local Golf Course or for those willing to travel out of the village there are some wonderful white sandy beaches to explore.
